Preschool Info at the Early Learning Center
We are excited to introduce to you our Early Enrichment Preschool at Tiny Tots Early Learning Center. This program begins in mid September for children 2 years 3 months to 5 years of age and it continues through mid June. This is a part time educationally based program in a classroom setting that children attend independently. Our philosophy revolves around the concept that children learn by doing. It’s our desire to provide the best possible program for children to build a foundation for their formative years through growth and discovery.
We are offering a choice of several programs to suit your family’s needs. Please review additional information on this website and note that enrollment is on a first come first serve basis. Please contact us with any questions regarding this program or to be placed on our waiting list.
Goals and Objectives
Our preschool program is child centered and designed to meet the developmental needs of young children. Early childhood years should be a time of warmth, security, exploration and discovery. Our program strives to meet these needs for each child in our care.
Each day our primary educational goal is to develop the whole child through literature, play, art, learning centers music and movement. Our program and classroom have been designed to develop a child’s spirit and treat each child as an individual. Our teachers are here to encourage, nurture and guide the children through their daily activities. Each child will have the opportunity to learn at their own pace. We believe that the process of learning is more important then the end product and that children learn best through play.
It is our hope to provide an environment so richly child based that the children in our care will begin a love of learning that will continue throughout their educational years.
Our daily routine involves a wide range of activities: creative play, arts and crafts, music, science, games, blocks, books, fine-motor activities and large-motor activities. Children are taught various social skills (manners, sharing, kindness, etc.) and are also encouraged to think and play together as well as play independently. Each class spends time each day experiencing music and movement.
Themes and activities are planned by the staff and are available to parents olease read notices that come home in your child’s cubby as they may describe upcoming events and will often provide specific information to help you prepare your child for their school day.
There will be a non-refundable $50 annual registration fee due at the time of enrollment and every September thereafter. We also require a security deposit of one month's tuition that is carried over from year to year or used as your child's last month of tuition at the end of the school year Tuition is due by the 1st of each month September thru June.
Once your child is enrolled in our program they will remain enrolled until they age out. This means that if your child turns 5 at any time during the school year Sept-June they are welcome to remain. Please note that we follow the Shenendehowa School District Calendar but we do not close for 1/2 days, or staff develpment/conference days.
